I have and would love to go back but since I am so poor, the closest thing to Italy would be eating at Leichhardt.

I haven't been to Italy much to my Grandmother's disgust (sorry Nonna) but I cook pasta all the time for my family, especially my little girl "Charlotte" I call her "Carlotta" when I cook to make the mood fantastic!

I adore Lasange, Gnocchi and fresh Ravioli. My favourite sauces are Bolognaise and Boscaola.

Make sure you manage to try the wonderful food, because what we Aussies cook is nothing like traditional Italian food!

And don't forget to go to the market and cook yourself something really fresh!

Enjoy the trip and here's to a safe journey back home again:

Not yet but soon. My husband is from Calabria & has just inherited one third of his grandmothers house, so a perfect excuse for me to finally travel out of Melbourne!

NO, but I'd give my left arm to come with you. Italian men are gorgeous, and really know how to romance a woman.

Hi, I was lucky enough to see your beautiful stand at the BrisStyle markets on Saturday - your work is gorgeous. I have applied to join BrisStyle so I will see how I go....

I have been to Italy, however, I was a lot younger and would see and do totally different things if I had the opportunity to go again - 3 months sounds like heaven. Enjoy the food, shopping and wine.

Look forward to your next post. Michelle

I'm planning my first trip now. It's a solo 3-week trip around Umbria and Tuscany.
No kids, no husband, no family... just me, my tenth-grade Italian, and a sense of adventure.
Wish me luck!
